“Yup, this is me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”

#memesThe juvenile squirrel I had been taking care of is now in the transitional state of becoming a wild squirrel. He has a base station with a stable food and water source on the forest edge in the meantime, and he’s visited me when I’ve gone outside at times to wrestle with my hands or softly nibble my skin as I cuddle him for a bit, before he rolls around and plays in a dirt pit he’s dug, or buries an acorn or pumpkin seeds and patting down the dirt like patty cake with his little squirrel hands. And he can move up and down the trees and maneuver through the branches but he’s still learning agility skills and is slower than his peers. He has an adorable little pink nose and my heart swells with love for him and I want him to be happy.
And he makes soft gentle grunts like a very soft pig’s oink when he’s social and happy. I named him Mr. Grunty.
